A complete preflight should confirm not only that words appear in the operator interface, but that they reach the exact screen, browser, graphic, or decoder used by the audience.

How do live captions reach event attendees?

Attendees can open a shared viewer link or QR code in a modern browser. Productions can also place captions on a shared display, in a browser-source overlay, in Ross XPression graphics, or inside a supported encoded stream.

Can viewers choose how captions look?

The 4ALL viewer includes personal controls for available language and readability settings such as text and color choices. Shared production outputs are configured separately by the operator.

Are browser captions closed captions?

A personal browser viewer is user-selected, but it is not CEA-608/708 caption data. A browser-source overlay added to a program picture is visible, open text in that video composition. Use 4ALL Encoder and a compatible downstream chain when embedded CEA-608/708 captions are required.

Can 4ALL captions appear in a broadcast feed?

Yes. XPression Bridge can feed text to Ross XPression graphics, and 4ALL Encoder can insert CEA-608/708 data into supported H.264 streams. The complete downstream chain must preserve and expose the chosen output.

What should be tested before an event?

Test source audio, representative names and terminology, caption timing, viewer access, each configured output, and the final receiver or decoder. Seeing text in the operator view alone is not an end-to-end test.
